When you are selling a house, generally the items that are fixed to the floor or walls stay with the home. That includes light fixtures and things like washer and dryer or dishwasher. If your appliances are fixed, serviced and seem in good condition, even if they are outdated, you are more likely to get the price you demand for your house. Some buyers cannot afford new appliances so although your appliances may be dated, once they are well maintained and work, a buyer may feel more confident and comfortable offering you the price you asked for. A little cosmetic work in this regard can really go a long way in you getting a great sale and getting your house sold quickly.
